In fact, supporting the Super Falcons is one of the easiest decisions you’ll make this year. Unlike your favourite any other team that will ruin your day, these women have built a habit of making Nigerians smile.
This year’s WAFCON is another opportunity for the Falcons to remind you and the rest of the world why they are the continent’s most successful women’s national team. The Super Falcons have won more Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles than any other country,10 times WAFCON champions, making 15 appearances at the WAFCON, meaning they have qualified for every WAFCON since its inception in 1998.

Nigeria has gotten to the semi-finals of every WAFCON, finishing third in 2008, fourth place twice, in 2012 and 2022.
The Super Eagles, in contrast, have won the AFCON just 3 times, so you see why supporting the Super Falcons is easier.
The competition will not be easy. Countries like South Africa, Morocco, Zambia and Ghana have improved significantly, making every match a battle. That makes the support from home even more important. Every message of encouragement, every watch party and every cheer reminds the players that they are not alone.
