While every part of Big Brother Naija is undeniably entertaining, who walks away with the title and the prize money is, without question, the one thing we’re all waiting to find out until the very last moment.
But looking back, how have the previous winners really fared? How well does their gameplay hold up in hindsight? Are they still as loved as they were when they first appeared on our screens? And perhaps most importantly, how well did they turn a reality TV victory into a lasting career?

10. Katung Aduwak (Season 1)

Being the first winner of Big Brother Nigeria automatically earns Katung a place in the history books. But the 11-year gap between the original season and the show’s revival means his legacy has naturally faded compared to the winners who followed. He deserves credit for setting the standard, even if later winners benefited from a much bigger platform.
9. Imisi Ayanwale (Season 10)

Imisi’s story is still being written. Winning the milestone tenth season is a huge achievement, but it’s simply too early to judge how her legacy compares with those who’ve had years to build careers, businesses and influence after the show. A few years from now, she could easily climb this list.
8. Ilebaye Odiniya (All Stars)
Few winners have divided opinion quite like Ilebaye. Her underdog journey made for compelling television, and she mastered the art of surviving week after week despite constantly finding herself at the centre of house drama. Whether you loved her or questioned her strategy, she undeniably earned one of the most memorable wins in BBNaija history.
7. Kellyrae Sule (No Loose Guard)
Kellyrae played a calm, measured game built on consistency rather than chaos. His victory felt deserved, and his journey resonated with viewers, but with only a relatively short time outside the house, it’s still too early to place him alongside the franchise’s biggest success stories.
6. Miracle Igbokwe (Double Wahala)
Miracle remains one of the cleanest winners the show has ever produced. He largely avoided unnecessary drama, stayed focused and won through consistency. Although he chose a quieter life after the show, pursuing aviation and business instead of celebrity, his gameplay remains one of the strongest in BBNaija history.
5. Phyna (Level Up)

Phyna’s season belonged to her. Loud, authentic and impossible to ignore, she delivered some of the most memorable moments of the season while building one of the strongest fanbases the show has seen. She remains one of BBNaija’s most polarising winners, but that’s also part of what makes her unforgettable.
4. Efe Ejeba (See Gobe)
Efe wasn’t just a winner; he became a cultural moment. “Based on logistics” quickly entered Nigerian pop culture, and his everyman appeal helped relaunch BBNaija into the mainstream after its long hiatus. His post-show career may not have reached the heights many expected, but his impact on the franchise itself is undeniable.
3. Whitemoney (Shine Ya Eye)

Whitemoney perfected the art of being universally likeable. His humour, warmth and authenticity made him one of the easiest contestants to root for, and he backed that popularity up with one of the most convincing wins in the show’s history. He’s remained relevant long after leaving the house, proving his appeal wasn’t limited to reality TV.

1. Laycon (Lockdown)
No winner has defined a BBNaija season quite like Laycon. His underdog story, intelligence, humour and relatability turned him into a phenomenon, while his fanbase became one of the largest the show has ever produced. Even years later, he remains the benchmark against which every winner is measured. When people talk about iconic BBNaija champions, Laycon is still the first name that comes to mind.
